Thank you for visiting our website. We are very proud of our small school and the opportunities we offer to our staff and pupils including Forest School. We would be delighted to offer you the opportunity to look round our school and the extensive grounds to see first hand the amazing experiences each child is offered.
We are situated in a truly picturesque setting in an Area of Outstanding natural Beauty in the Chilterns with a large, safe and secure outdoor space which allows us to provide stimulating indoor and outdoor environments offering exciting learning opportunities. We have had extensive building works recently to allow us to take KS2 (Year 3-6) pupils as we continue our expansion.
Mary Towerton School opened in 1976 and is named after the councillor whose energy and effort made it possible. We celebrated our 40th Anniversary in June 2016.
We are a small friendly school offering a nurturing creative environment for children to begin their school career. We currently have four classes organised into EYFS (Willow), Year 1 and Year 2 (Cherry), Year 3 and 4 (Beech) and Year 5 (Oak). The staff are skilled at working with mixed age classes ensuring appropriate challenge and support for all children to enable them to achieve their individual best. We promote positive values and attitudes, and strive to offer the best possible learning experience for our children.
Please do take the opportunity to visit our unique school. We are all very proud of our school and there is always something interesting and important happening! We have happy and enthusiastic pupils, hard working and committed staff, engaging and effective governors and friendly and supportive parents.
Please contact the office to make an appointment and we look forward to meeting you. We are more than happy to show you around at any time.
