Welcome to Ash where learning is fun!
We are Ash class, a friendly, mixed class of Reception and Year 1 children who love to work together to explore and find out about the world. We are kind to everyone and help each other to learn and be the best they can. We may be small but we are mighty and achieve great things together.
On a Monday to Wednesday we are taught by Miss Aslett and on a Thursday and a Friday by Mrs Warner. We also have an assistant called Mrs Hyde who works with us Wednesday to Friday. All the team are fab!
Everyday we do a range of interesting activities for example, literacy, maths, phonics, topic work, science, PE, music, art and DT. We cover EYFS and Year 1 objectives so that there is challenge for all.
On a Tuesday we do forest school and outdoor learning activities so need to come to school with our PE kit and every Wednesday we have a session with the sports coaches so also need our PE kit on.
Although our reading days are Monday and Friday it is best to have our book bags in school all week as we may read on other days too. We love to read!
To keep us hydrated it is important to have our water bottles in school every day. Water helps our brains to think.
Now that the weather is getting chilly it is also important to bring a coat to school and gloves and hats if possible. So that we can go outside in the wet and mud we also need a pair of wellies. We love to spend time outside, stamping in sticky mud is so much fun!
Do come and see us in Ash we would love to show you our learning and our wonderful classroom.
