Inspiring all to reach their potential

Useful Information

If your child is unwell

As a school, we want every child to attend school everyday but do understand that sometimes the pupils are unable to attend.

If you keep your child away from school, be sure to inform the school office before 9:15 a.m. on the first day of their absence by telephoning 01494 482384 to speak to Mrs Hutton or leave a message on the answering machine.

Vomiting and diarrhoea

Children with these conditions should be kept off school. They can return 48 hours after their symptoms disappear. Most cases of vomiting or diarrhoea get better without treatment, but if symptoms persist, consult your GP.

At Mary Towerton we value the partnership between home and school. We believe that communication between parents and school is key to enabling our children to succeed across the curriculum and beyond.

This page provides links to material that will support this partnership between home and school.

Please also see the About Us section for general information about the school.

The School Day

We offer a breakfast club before school every day run by a member of staff.  These begin at 7.45am and are bookable online via ParentMail +Pay. There is a charge of £3.00 per session without breakfast or £3.50 with breakfast.  We also offer a sibling discount.

The main gate opens at 8.40am and closes at 8.50am for those children not attending breakfast club.  The children are registered at 8.50 and then participate in the Daily Mile (subject to weather conditions).  Learning  begins promptly at 9:00am. There is a mid-morning break at 10.40 am. Fresh fruit or vegetables are available during the morning. Lunch is from 12:00 Midday until 1:15pm. The school day finishes at 3.10pm for reception children and 3.15pm for all other children.
