Please send in a named water bottle and a coat each day.
P.E is on Tuesdays. Your child should come in in their P.E kit on a Tuesday.
Cedar class will have Outdoor Learning this term on a Wednesday PM. On Wednesdays, Cedar class will need to wear outdoor clothing (long trousers and a long jumper) and bring waterproof trousers, coat and wellington boots in a bag. The first two sessions will be on the school field and then they will be going off site
Homework shall be uploaded to Class Dojo on Friday. Your child should complete their homework and this should be uploaded to their portfolio by the following Thursday. There are hard copies of the homework available. Your child's reading books are changed on a Thursday and Friday.
Our topic for Summer 1 will be 'Through the Ages'.
This project teaches children about the teaches children about British prehistory from the Stone Age to the Iron Age, including changes to people and lifestyle caused by ingenuity, invention and technological advancement.
English Summer Term 1
In English this half term we will first be looking at 'Stone Age Boy' by Satoshi Kitamura. We will be looking at descriptive writing, instructions and Fact Files (Non- Fiction).
Mathematics
We shall be continuing to use the Power Maths scheme for maths this year. This half term we will be consolidating some work on multiplication and division and then we will start looking at fractions. On Wednesdays with Mrs Starling the children will be looking at Length.

Throughout this half term, e will be covering ‘Worship’ in RE where we will be thinking about worship through music, art, prayer and artefacts. Punctuation and spellings work will be the focus in our SPaG lessons in which Year 3’s will be covering aspects such as apostrophes, paragraphs, headings and subheadings, using a dictionary and prefixes. Year 2 will be looking at hard and soft ‘c’ and ‘g’, dg and dge endings, silent letters and le and el endings. Finally, may I thank all of those who have been completing their weekly spellings homework. If you can then please upload a photo of your homework onto Dojo.
