Year 2 and 3 visited Windsor castle on July 19th. We had a fantastic day with many highlights including visiting the State Apartments and St George's Chapel where the wedding of Prince Harry and Megan happened only a few months ago. We also took part in a workshop where we learnt some interesting facts about Windsor castle and how to become a knight. The workshop included some dressing up and Mrs Harrison became Queen and made us all knights.
Here is Evan's recount of the day.
On Thursday 19th July the Year 2 and 3 went on an extraordinary trip to Windsor Castle.
When we got to Windsor Castle there were firstly a group of guards with Busby hats, they were big and fluffy. They were stepping the exact same time.
Next we entered the entrance of Windsor castle and there were lots of people in the entrance. Then we saw the garden over a tall wall. It was beautiful.
Then we saw some other guards but that time there were not as many. There were only 3.
While in the workshop we met Lesley and she taught us how to be knights and we dressed up. Then Queen Harrison hired us to be a knight. It was funny.
