Head Teacher/DSL Lead
I have been Head teacher at this wonderful school since October 2015. I have been a teacher since the age of 22 and have worked in a variety of schools and for the Local Authority. The staff are fantastic here and they all work incredibly hard to ensure the children have wonderful experiences at the start of their school life. We are at an exciting point in the school's life as we began the move to become a primary school from September 2017. The parents are very engaging and we have a very proactive PTA who organise lots of fun events.
I am married and have 2 children who are aged 11 and 14. I have lots of animals at home including chickens, rabbits and two bouncy dogs called Timber and Woody! I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and going on holiday during some of the school breaks!
Teacher - KS2
I joined the school in September 2017 as part of the school's expansion into a primary. At the Mary Towerton School, the staff, parents and children are all very welcoming and this really adds to the family feel. I love teaching and especially enjoy helping the children learn and be the best they can be.

Teaching at the Mary Towerton School is very special. Our size means we get to know every child in a way many schools can’t. Being able to tailor teaching to the individual and then seeing pupils grow both personally and academically makes working here extremely rewarding.
Teacher - KS1 and SENDCo
This is my 4th year teaching at this fantastic school. I work part time as a teacher in KS1 and as the SENDCo. I enjoy working in a small school with such a friendly atmosphere. Our school really values the contribution that each child, parent, member of staff and governor makes and celebrates the individuality of each child. I feel lucky to work in such an environment.
Working here is great! The children are always so positive and I love being able to offer them new experiences in the classroom and outdoors.

I really enjoy working as part of the school family. I have always been struck by the way that the staff and children look out for and support each other. It is great teaching in such a unique setting which provides so many opportunities for academic and personal growth.
We have such a lovely environment and amazing opportunities for everyone. I particularly enjoy sharing my background in art and creativity with the children.
Although I have only been working at the Mary Towerton School for just over a year, it feels much longer...in a good way! Because it is a small school it doesn’t take long to get to know everyone and to feel part of a hard-working and caring team. There is a friendly and welcoming family atmosphere in the school, where each child is important and valued and encouraged to work hard and do their best at all times.
I joined Mary Towerton in 2014 and soon discovered how very special it is to work in a small school where smiles and laughter abound. Seeing the children progress and grow in confidence brings great job satisfaction. I love being a staff member at Mary Towerton.
I joined The Mary Towerton School in September 2013 and I can honestly say it's the best place I've ever worked! The working environment for both children and adults is so lovely and caring. It is a really happy place to work and learn in. I love the small school feel, the team spirit and of course all of our wonderful children. I am very excited about our school's journey to become a primary; it will be fantastic to see the children progress from Reception to Year 6.
I enjoy working in a small village school in such a lovely setting with happy children and caring staff.
I have been working at the school for just over a year and half now. It is lovely to see the children happy and enjoying school life and learning in such a fantastic setting. I also support children within the classroom for a few hours a week. There is very much a team spirit amongst the staff. I thoroughly enjoy working here.
